One of the best things I enjoyed while living in the continental United States was the freedom to go on lengthy road trip. A new state, new company and often times, new discoveries. When my friends and I had a 4 days weekend, we would rent out a large vehicle and go on a journey of a lifetime. Sometimes, taking turn and driving for hours. This definitely put a dent in our wallet and fuels is not as cheap, but most importantly, we were also harming the environment.
Thanks goodness, cars companies are introducing more greener cars. They are popping up on TV, ads, newspaper and even on the roads. Take for example, the ultimate driving machine, BMW.
- In a short 15 years time span, BMW has reduced emissions of its US fleet by 12.3% more then any other car brand.
- It was also voted by Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) for 4 years in a row as the “world’s most sustainable automotive manufacturer.”
- Kelly Blue Book named BMW “2009 Top 10 Green Vehicle”
- BMW Advanced Diesel is 35% better MPG and 25% less Co2.
- BMW’s most popular Efficient Dynamics reduces fuel consumption and emission level while creating a better ride.
So the next time you’re thinking about a rental car for a road trip or just to explore the neighborhood, consider a greener car. Not only will you feel good knowing that your driving a vehicle that respect the environment, but your also doing your part to help out and at the same life, having fun. Isn’t life wonderful?
