Prior to my wedding, I was introduced to the art of airbrushing by my stylist whom I absolutely love. To tell you the truth, I was a bit nervous, but I did completely trust my friend. The first moment she put it on, it felt like air tickling my face. I was amazed at the result because it covers all my flaw perfectly. I went about my day and into the night, the coverage was still beautifully covering every pimples on my face. I first heard of Yon-ka from a co-worker who swears by it. She quickly jointed down the information and ordered me to try it out. I google it and ran along Madison Avenue looking for it. Aha! Found it, but with a long line of other customers who also were eager to try out the products. I walked away disappointed. Luckily in late 2007, after returning home to Hawaii, I founded a location that used Yon-ka and is close to home. The price is not bad either.
What is Yon-ka? According to dermstore.com, it is a skin care line that uses 4 distinctive plant-based therapies including:
- Aroma-therapy uses aromatic oil from different parts of plant so that they can be absorb through the skin thus producing healthy skin.
- Phyto-therapy extend the life of the skin cell and age prevention.
- Marine-therapy is used as a detoxification and to help with mineral absorption.
- Fruit-therapy is to help with extraction and to help with promoting good skin.
I currently used the Yon-ka lotion for oily skin. It is definately my most favorite product as it is so easy to use and so effective. It does not leave my face dry as most toners do and the best thing is, there is no need to purchase any cotton balls. You simplity spray the lotion on to your face and rub it in with your hands. The scent is quite refreshing and your skin feels clean. I also spray it on during the day when I’m falling asleep after my third cups of coffee.
