Ivy League — Princeton University

Having spent 6 years in New York City, one of my most favorite things to do is travel. With the Big Apple being in the center of it all, it was very convenient and easy to get around the east coast. There were a number of airports both big and small, rather inexpensive bus tours and the reliable train systems.

One weekend, I decided to meet up with a friend who was living and working in New Jersey. The first place we visited was Princeton University. I have always been a fan of education and love the architecture of the buildings. There is a consistent Collegiate Gothic style everywhere including the largest and most famous archway on campus, Blair Arch.

Princeton University was founded in 1746 and is one of the eight universities of the Ivy League. The campuses are situated about one hour from both New York City and Philadelphia. The oldest building is Nassau Hall built in 1754 and the newest one is Lewis Library.

I really enjoyed walking around this university and chatting with some of the students. We even enjoyed some delicious Indian food at a nearby cafe. It was definitely a changes from the concrete jungles of the Big Apple.

Interesting fact: Our first lady, Michelle Obama, graduated from Princeton University.
